The use of electrical equipment is an indispensable part of modern industries and daily life. However, the safe and trouble-free operation of electrical equipment is critical for the health and safety of employees and users. The Low Voltage Regulation (2014/35/EU) published by the European Union determines the basic requirements for the placing on the market and use of low voltage equipment. This regulation aims to promote the use of safe electrical equipment and ensure free movement in the international market.

What is the Low Voltage Regulation (2014/35/EU)?
The LVD Regulation determines the conformity requirements for low voltage equipment designed and used to ensure electrical safety. It covers electrical equipment designed to be used at voltages between 50 V - 1000 V for alternating current and 75 V - 1500 V for direct current. Within the scope of the regulation, manufacturers must fulfill the following obligations before placing electrical equipment on the market.
Ensuring the basic health and safety rules of the regulation,
Providing the technical file,
Provide usage instructions,
Conduct a suitability assessment,
Preparing the EC Declaration of Conformity,
Attaching the “CE” conformity mark.
